Visions of what the world will be in the year 2050. This show is the culmination of a seven week Saturday programme of analogue and digital art classes in which participants were asked to envision the future.
Learners from the community and learners we work with at Umkhumbane Secondary attended workshops at the Kwazulu-Natal Society of Arts (KZNSA) where they drew, painted, and made cardboard creations. We digitized this art and they used Scratch to make animations and tell stories.
Programme Outocomes
Animations - more than 20 minutes of animated stories
Scratch Projects - remix the projects participants made
Art - analogue and digital art stills much of which is incorporated into the animations
Opening night - visited by parents, grandparents and the public
